One of our favorite Base Tomato sauces, featuring the strong flavors typical of Southern Italy. Open a jar you could smell the freshness of these novelties! Passata recipe is made with only one ingredient THE TOMATO The cooked briefly and then removed from the seeds and skin. The result is puree tomato juice with its pulp and nothing else.
PARING SUGGESTION When fresh tomatoes are not in season or readily available the passata serves as a convenient and quick way to add the essence of tomatoes to various dishes. Add garlic, onions and splash of our organic red wine or champagne wine vinegar and let it simmer. You could make this vibrant sauce for dinner in less than 25 minutes.
