Our Castile Master Blend is primarily a blend of Arbequina, Picudo and Hojiblanca olive oils.
The Castile Master Blend has very mild aroma, is light gold in color, and has a gentle flavor echoing notes of all of the distinct olives that compose it. Bolder Picudo provides a strong backbone of flavor, while Arbequina adds sweetness and delicate overtones. Hojiblanca lightens the texture, adds durability and improves the cooking characteristics of this oil.
Ideal for crusty bread and summer appetizers, or for use when sauteing or baking, this oil is particularly versatile. Its heartiness as a cooking oil is belied by its light consistency, which makes it ideal for salads. Try it with our Traditional 12 Year, Red Apple, Black Cherry or Pear Balsamic vinegars for a terrific vinaigrette or exciting balsamic reduction.
