Our Sea & Salt from Italy is a blend of high-quality Sicilian bottarga, grated from the whole roe, skillfully blended with citrus, sun-dried tomato, herbs and a touch of cardamom. Bottarga is dried, cured roe, typically from either mullet or tuna. It is similar in profile to dried anchovies, making it a popular ingredient especially in Sicilian cuisine.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS: Our Sea & Salt is ideal on our Stringozzi pasta with some of our Organic Crushed Meyer Lemon extra virgin olive oil, or simply on steamed cauliflower with a drizzle of our Italian Tonda Iblea extra virgin olive oil. It is great to use when curing seafood, adding lots of flavor and aroma! Our Sea & Salt is also a fabulous addition to Caesar-style salad dressings, enhancing the taste and adding complex flavors and aromas.
