Straccetti are grooved, rectangular pasta strips that have been rolled and twisted to resemble "Twisted Rags." They have a great ribbed texture that remains even after cooking, making them ideal for all sorts of sauces. This innovative design comes from the artisans at Marella in Puglia, Italy; there, they combine centuries-old perfected techniques with only the finest, local, Certified Organic ingredients to create exemplary pastas. PAIRING SUGGESTIONS: Full of great flavor and texture, our Straccetti are an excellent choice to use when using sauce. Its grooves make an excellent companion to any kind of sauce, from our Puttanesca to Boscaiola to classic Tomato Basil. All that's needed is some good Parmigiano-Reggiano or Mozzarella cheese and perhaps a drizzle of our Organic Crushed Basil extra virgin olive oil.
