SEGGIANESE HIGH QUALITY EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
A native to central Italy, the Seggianese Reserve olive has been producing exceptional quality oil for centuries. Our Gold Medal Seggianese Reserve is estate grown & has the very special designation of being D.O.P. (D.O.P. standing for "Denominazione d'Origine Protetta" or Protected Designation of Origin). It is a prized crop in Tuscany for centuries! Seggianese or Olivastra Seggianese one of the rarest cultivar of its kind, It has robust intensity when is picked early in the season. Our premium Segginanes extra virgin olive has high concentration level of Poly Phenol and oleic acid. Hand harvested and milled within mere hours of harvest.
FLAVOR PROFILE:
With its beautiful green-yellow color characteristic of its cultivar, our Seggianese Reserve extra virgin displays the best examples of its kind. Fruity in aroma with notes of almond, artichoke and freshly-cut grass, it is pleasantly balanced by a slightly bitter, pungent and herbaceous taste.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS:
Our Seggianese Reserve extra virgin olive oil brings the flavors and the smells of the Mediterranean to any dish, no matter how elaborate or simple it may be! Pair with our Aged Apple vinegars or our Pear or Blackberry Balsamic vinegars for a delightfully sweet-yet-tart balance of flavors in a dressing for salads or roasted vegetables. On its own, the Seggianese is an excellent choice for dipping crusty artisanal breads or to finish soups, pastas, stews or other grain dishes.
