Picual is the most important olive variety in the world and is the most widely cultivated variety in Spain. From a chemical viewpoint, these oils are excellent due to the composition of fatty acids and the abundant presence of natural antioxidants. This particular version of the Picual is estate-grown and was produced in an award-winning mill in Chile, one of the fastest-growing olive oil centers in the world. Because of its extraordinarily high cancer-fighting antioxidant value and its high concentration of oleic acid, the Chilean Picual is often taken by the tablespoon as a nutritional supplement.
Our Picual extra virgin from Chile has delightful aroma notes of apple, and a fruity flavor with hints of almond and apple overtones. It finishes with a pleasant peppery and pungent sensation.
Pair it with our Blackberry Ginger, Pomegranate or our Cranberry Walnut Balsamic vinegars for intriguingly complex flavored vinaigrette. Whisk with Dijon mustard, garlic, herbs and our Sherry Reserva Wine vinegar for a creamy and delicious dressing or marinade.
