The Hojiblanca olive originated in Spain. It has a large variety of flavors, with the most common attributes being a slight sweet taste in the beginning, a slight bitter taste of unripe fruits, and an almond aftertaste.
Our Australian Hojiblanca features a grassy aroma with flavors of grass, apples and nuts. It has a full body with a creamy and buttery consistency. The bitterness of unripe fruits and almonds this variety is known for comes out in its finish.
Hojiblanca olive oil is one of the best cooking oils. In addition to frying, Hojiblanca is recommended for bread making, pastas and pastries due to the ideal consistency and texture it gives to dough. Also recommended as a great dressing paired with our premium White Balsamic vinegars in Oregano, Summer Peach, Pineapple, or Tangerine. Looking for a new recipe?
