The Arbequina olive is originally from the town of Arbeca, in Lleida, Spain. It is popular among farmers because of the sweet oil it produces. While high-quality, the oil is not very stable in storage and should be consumed within 18 months of purchase.
Our Chilean Arbequina has a deep, greenish-gold color and a lovely, fruity aroma. Its dense consistency, slightly nutty flavor, and smooth finish will please even the pickiest gourmets.
Because of its extraordinarily high cancer-fighting antioxidant value and its high concentration of oleic acid, the Chilean Arbequina is often taken by the tablespoon as a nutritional supplement. Use this oil raw over seafood, vegetables, or in desserts. It is delicious when paired with our Fig, Cranberry Walnut or Vanilla Orange Balsamic vinegars. Whisk it with our Barrel-Aged White Wine vinegar and some Dijon mustard for very creamy Dijon vinaigrette.
