The magnificent coastline along the Mediterranean Sea near Città Sant’Angelo, in the Abruzzo region of eastern Italy, gives rise to an extraordinary example of monocultivar extra virgin olive oil. With its characteristic brilliant color, fruity taste and aroma and creamy, buttery consistency, it is no wonder that the Pescarese is a highly prized olive. Our Pescarese extra virgin has even gained the special designation of D.O.P., which stands for “Denominazione d’Origine Protetta”—Protected Designation of Origin—a high honor in the country with the world’s highest standards for olive oil, in an area renowned for its olive oil for thousands of years.

FLAVOR PROFILE:
The sights and smells of the Mediterranean coastline along Città Sant’Angelo are reflected in this very special Pescarese extra virgin olive oil. Its color is a brilliant green-yellow, a reflection of the flora growing along the coastline. Its fruity aroma and taste are reminiscent of the tastes and smells of found in Abruzzese soil, under the powerful Italian sun. PAIRING SUGGESTIONS:
Used by itself as a dipping oil for crusty artisan breads or as a finishing touch to grilled vegetables, soups and pastas, it is also equally delicious when paired with our Bergamot & Lime, Sicilian Lemon or Grapefruit White Balsamics for a bright and zesty marinade or vinaigrette.
