The bees that produce this unique honey are transported to chestnut woods in the hills near the Pescia farm, in Tuscany. There, they feed on the nectar of blossoms from the chestnut tree to produce a transparent, bronze-colored, pour-able honey with a potent, molasses-like bouquet and flavor. Its rich aroma and flavor echo the rich notes of Italian chestnuts.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS: Our gorgeous Chestnut Honey is a treasure to use as part of a cheese plate; its intense aroma and flavor make it a great accompaniment to aged Manchego, Parmigiano-Reggiano or Gouda cheeses, alongside walnuts and figs. It is also heavenly alongside roasted meats and vegetables (especially sweet potatoes!), and it adds lots of flavor to seasonal fall soups, like pumpkin or butternut squash.
