Description
White balsamic vinegars are made by blending fine white wine vinegar with young traditional balsamic vinegar. Our premium white balsamic have the sweetness characteristic of balsamic vinegar and some of the tartness and consistency characteristic of white wine vinegar. Light amber in color, our white balsamic are ideal for use in salads where the qualities of balsamic are desired, but the dark brown color of a traditional balsamic is not. The love and dedication that goes into producing this exquisite example of balsamic vinegar has led to its P.G.I certification, which stands for Protected Geographical Indication; it is a high honor in the country with some of the world's highest standards for its food products. A P.G.I. certification ensures that the balsamic vinegar is made according to traditional, time-honored methods, using only approved ingredients and is produced in Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. This certification stands for exceptional quality and a deep love for producing only the finest traditional balsamic vinegars in the world.
Sweet and aromatic at the same time, anise is a widely used spice throughout the world. With its sweet licorice flavor, anise is most commonly recognized in the vegetable fennel, in northern European Christmas cakes and cookies, as well as in the Greek drink ouzo.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS:
With its aromatic flavor and hint of licorice, our Anise White Balsamic makes an invaluable addition to marinades for fish and poultry. When mixed with our Italian Peranzana, Spanish Hojiblanca or Crushed Whole Fruit Meyer Lemon extra virgin olive oils, the result is delicious vinaigrette perfect for winter salads featuring bitter greens like endive or radicchio, or for drizzling atop roasted or grilled vegetables.
